Yew Dell Gardens Wedding | Jen + Jordan {Louisville Film Photographers}

Jen and Jordan had an absolutely gorgeous Spring day for their Yew Dell Gardens wedding. We loved every little detail that the couple included in their day, many of which were  handmade. From the chalkboard arrow signs pointing to the ceremony and reception, to the ‘Cheers’ sign above the bar, the ‘Mr.’ and ‘Mrs.’ signs hanging on their chairs, and the table numbers featuring important places to the couple, everywhere we turned there were beautiful and unique personal touches added. For photographers like us, the day was full of inspiration!

Aside from the obvious beauty of the day, we had such a fantastic time because Jen and Jordan were a tremendous joy to work with. This sweet couple was obviously in head over heels in love with each other, and their happiness was overflowing the entire day. Another reason we were totally inspired!

We could not be more thrilled for Jaime McKay and Chris who just welcomed their sweet baby girl into the world! I visited the proud parents at the hospital this afternoon to photograph some of the precious first moments of having baby Avery here, and couldn’t help but share this sweet image. Look at how Chris is in total adoration of his beautiful baby girl… I love it!

Huge congrats to the new Mom and Dad!! We are so very proud of you and incredibly happy for you as you have joined the ranks of parenthood! :)

We have so enjoyed photographing this little guy over the past year, and can’t believe his Baby’s First Year sessions are over! We had a fabulous one year portrait session with him, complete with a cake smash :) Well… sort of… He didn’t go crazy with the cupcake at all. I get it though; I was never one to get messy either! Jamie McKay and Chris are expecting their sweet baby girl in just a few short weeks (…or any time now!), and we cannot wait to meet her!! Angela + Corey | Louisville Wedding Film Photography {The Galt House and Highland Baptist Church}

Angela and Corey had a simply gorgeous wedding at Highland Baptist Church, followed by an equally lovely reception at the Galt House in Downtown Louisville. It was a day we absolutely loved being there to take part in and photograph for this sweet couple! As I began the task of trying to narrow down all of the stellar images for a few favorites to share here, I decided to tell the story of this particular bride and groom with a sampling of our film photographs from the day. We have been combining the use of both digital and film photography for several years now, and we are both in love with the rich color, detail, and look of medium format film photographs. Have I mentioned how much we enjoy photographing Baby’s First Year portraits?? We have had the most adorable babies to work with, and this little man is no exception. We just photographed his 9 month session a few days ago, and I couldn’t get over how cute he is with his little John Deere shirt and toy tractor and bare feet! It’s hard to believe this little guy just turned one year old! After a year of watching him grow and photographing his Baby’s First Year portraits, we had such a fun time celebrating his first birthday at his one year session a few days ago, complete with lots of balloons and a cupcake for him to dig into! Our Sweet Baby Girl | Indiana Baby Portraits {Snow Day!}

I’ve always loved a good snow, even though I really don’t like the cold. The way I see it, if it’s going to be cold, there may as well be some pretty snow on the ground! A couple weeks ago, we woke up to several inches of snow on the ground, snow covered branches on the trees, and huge snowflakes floating down from the sky. It was beautiful! We decided to go ahead and get bundled up and head outside with our baby girl to snap a few portraits while the snow was still falling, and I am so glad we did…. not only did we get some fun photos of us all, we would have missed our chance if even waiting one more hour. All of the snow was completely gone by then! I’ll always cherish these sweet photos of our little family playing in the snow :) Indiana Baby Portraits.

Cody + Jordan | Frazier History Museum Louisville Wedding Photography

Cody and Jordan said “I do” in the chapel at the gorgeous Christ Church UMC in Louisville, and then celebrated with their family and friends at a very modern reception downtown at the Frazier History Museum. We had such a wonderful time hanging out and photographing the day for this awesome couple! Cody and Jordan included lots of personality their details, and put together an extremely fun, urban, dance-party reception to enjoy with their guests. Kellye, from Engagements, was there to help make the day a success, and as always, she was a true joy to work with! Enjoy a few of our favorite story-telling images from the day :)

The cake was made up of lots of fun flavors of cupcakes, and had little banners to identify each flavor. Made by Plehn’s Bakery, and it was quite delicious :)
